Installing your window blinds is simple and quick. Follow this step-by-step guide from Modu Shade to install your blinds safely and correctly.
Our blinds are designed for easy installation and can be installed with basic tools in just a few minutes.
Tools You Will Need
Before starting installation, prepare the following tools:
- Drill machine or screwdriver
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Level tool
- Screws and brackets (included with your order)
Step 1: Check the Package
Before installation, make sure your package contains:
- Blind or shade
- Mounting brackets
- Screws
- Installation instructions

Step 2: Mark the Bracket Position
Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark where the brackets will be installed.
- For inside mount, brackets are installed inside the window frame.
- For outside mount, brackets are installed on the wall or above the window frame.
Make sure the brackets are even and level before drilling.
Step 3: Install the Brackets
Using a drill or screwdriver:
- Place the brackets on the marked positions.
- Insert the screws through the bracket holes.
- Tighten the screws firmly.
Ensure the brackets are securely fixed before placing the blinds.
Step 4: Attach the Blind
Once the brackets are installed:
- Align the headrail of the blind with the brackets.
- Gently push or clip the blind into the brackets.
- Make sure it locks securely in place.
Step 5: Test the Blinds
After installation:
- Pull the blind up and down to test movement
- Ensure smooth operation
- Check that the blinds are straight and level
Adjust if necessary.
Installation for Different Blind Types
Roller Shades
Simply clip the roller mechanism into the brackets and ensure the fabric rolls smoothly.
Honeycomb Blinds
Snap the headrail into the brackets and test the lifting mechanism.
Zebra Blinds
Install the brackets first, then clip the headrail securely.
Shangri-La Sheer Blinds
Carefully attach the headrail to the brackets and check the light-filtering layers.
Roman Shades
Mount the brackets and attach the headrail securely before testing the fold mechanism.
Safety Tips
- Always use a stable ladder if installing at height
- Do not overtighten screws
- Keep installation tools away from children
- Make sure brackets are firmly installed
