Return & Refund Policy

At Modu-Shade, all products are custom-made to order. Due to the personalized nature of our products, returns and refunds are limited as outlined below.

1. Custom Orders – No Returns

All Modu-Shade products are custom-sized and made to customer specifications.
Therefore:

  • Returns are not accepted once production has begun
  • Cancellations are not permitted after order confirmation
    Please review all measurements, fabric selections, and order details carefully before approval.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued only under the following circumstances:

  • Manufacturing defects confirmed by Modu-Shade
  • Product damage during shipping (reported within 48 hours)
  • Incorrect product produced due to Modu-Shade error

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Measurement errors provided by the customer
  • Color or fabric variation due to screen display or dye lots
  • Change of mind after order confirmation
  • Installation issues caused by site conditions or customer modifications

3. Damaged or Defective Products

Customers must:

  • Inspect products upon delivery
  • Report damage or defects within 48 hours
  • Provide clear photos and proof of delivery

Modu-Shade will evaluate the claim and may offer:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Partial or full refund (at our discretion)

4. Installation & Labor Costs

  • Installation fees are non-refundable once service has been performed
  • Re-installation or service visits due to customer-related issues may incur additional charges

5. Refund Method & Timing

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing time: 7–14 business days

  • Bank or credit card processing delays may apply

6. Order Cancellations


  • Orders may be canceled only before production begins
  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing
  • A processing or design fee may apply

7. Store Credit

In certain cases, Modu-Shade may offer store credit in place of a refund.
Store credit:

  • Has no cash value
  • Is non-transferable
  • May have an expiration date

8. Discontinued or Unavailable Products

If a product becomes unavailable after purchase:

  • Modu-Shade will offer a comparable replacement or refund
  • Color and fabric matching cannot be guaranteed

9. Limitation of Liability

Modu-Shade is not responsible for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Delays caused by manufacturers, carriers, or acts of nature

10. Policy Updates

Modu-Shade reserves the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.
